BOOK GROUPS
Currently two book groups are running, both looking at matters spiritual. One is run in
connection with the Bookstall and is held three times a year and takes place after the
church service. The other rotates around members' houses and is held about six times a
year. If you would like to know more, or start your own group, please contact the Church Office.
CROSSTALK
Crosstalk is a discussion group led by the Minister offering an opportunity to examine all
issues of faith and Christianity and is open to anyone but is an ideal preparation for
anyone considering membership of the church. The meetings take place in the Dove Room at
12.30pm after the morning service. For more information, please contact the Church Office.
'LIFE & WORK'
The monthly magazine of the Church of Scotland is distributed to members at a very
reasonable subscription. If you would like to be included on the distribution list,
please contact the Church Office.
BOOKSTALL
The minister selects a number of books which relate to the themes and spiritual direction
of Cairns. This occurs twice a year when the book selection is available after the morning
service for four or five consecutive Sundays in the Central Court.
In addition to this, a particular title is selected and used as the
basis for an informal group discussion led by the minister. See 'Book Groups' above.
CHURCH OF SCOTLAND ON-LINE BOOKSHOP
